Hi,
i'm trying to configure my ubb classic, but, when i run de cp.cgi script, i fill the form, then it say me "thank you, you have successfully configure..." then "click here", and send me back to cp.cgi, where it show me the form again (with "cgi path" etc...).
The forums is working , but i can't configure it.
If i try to run "cp.cgi?ubb=index" it say me:

Sorry, I can't process ubb=index during an initial setup.  Please try again without it.

  
any idea?

yeah, remove "ubb=index" from the url like it asked

i think u didn't understood my problem, i just made a test with ubb=index, just to look.
Without it , i can't to further install step than the first, it says everything is ok, but when i "click here" i go back to the same forms, again and again.

yes,
here: http://xplatforms.ath.cx/ubb/cgi-bin/cp.cgi

cgi path has to be "/mnt/storage/storage/site/www/ubb/cgi-bin"
non cgi: "/mnt/storage/storage/site/www/ubb/noncgi"
Members: "/mnt/storage/storage/site/www/ubb/Members"
variables : "/mnt/storage/storage/site/www/ubb/variables"
site root is www.
(this is just a test version , so u can try anything)

nope, I would try transfering the templates back again to be sure it's in ASCII mode.

the error is it isn't looking in the correct place for variables. move all of you var_***.cgi files into the cgi-bin and CHMOD them 777

well, thanks.
I re-up files via ftp, then copy vars files into cgi-bin, everythings looks good now <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
