In preparation of setting up UBB classic on my w2k server i've installed Perl (8.5.4) from activeperl.com. I've created the virtual directory for CGI in IIS 5. I've followed the MS white paper on Perl to a "t" and a white paper for configuring IIS to run CGI scripts. The above message is what I get.

http://www.fedupwithpc.com/cgi-bin/hello.cgi

Google searches have presented a variety of potential solutions. But unfortunately any one I;ve chosen thus far has been a dead end. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I've posted these details to your ticket as well...

The %1... error means that CGI is not properly mapped to Perl. SimonGibson.com has some documentation on configuring Active State Perl here - http://www.simongibson.com/intranet/actperl/

Those instructions should help...

Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Kate
