Users from my Forum
http://cgi.dannybaker.force9.co.uk/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi
are complaining that the Board is either:-
1 - returning posters to the forum page when they hit reply but loosing the message in the process
2 - can't reply to topics

Can anyone please help?
Previously I had a long-runnimg problem with my Web Space Provider and their CGI Server which hosts the Forum.

I kept getting Disk space errors even though I was well within my quota.

They were working on the CGI Server which caused the problem.

Could this be connected?

Can I make an innocent observation here please?
I'm not referring to only this post, but it is quite apparent that this forum does not get the standard (certainly the quantity) or promptness of replies of some of the other in the Community <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Whether this is down to the Moderator or the confusion when it comes to selecting a Forum to post to I really don't know? <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Unfortunately, the cause of your problem(s) could be any number of things (not much to go on based on the info you ahve given thus far). I'm not sure I understand what is happening in the first instance you mentioned; as for the second ("can't reply to topics"), that sounds like a permissions problem (and could indeed be related to a disk space issue, too).

If you want someone from Infopop to troubleshoot this for you, the best course of action would be to submit a formal trouble ticket here:

Hopefully you'll have your board back to normal soon!

I have exactly the same problem!
Now I know why there are no replies at all, people are not able to...

When someone hits reply you can see the reply page for just a small second and then it forwards (or something) back to the original posting people are trying to reply.

I know for sure I have planty server space available.

Please help.

We need at least two things:

1. What specific version of UBB are you using?
2. A direct URL to your UBB.

As with Paul's request, this very well may require a hands-on trouble ticket. If you don't wish to wait for a possible answer after providing the above information, then I suggest completing a ticket immediately.
