One of my users, a WebTv user, says he cannot "Post" since I upgraded to 6.5 last week (from 6.3.1). Nothing happens. Has anyone else had this issue?

I have several WebTV classic users on my community and haven't had any reports of problems.

Microsoft is expected to phase out and stop supporting the classic boxes and maybe even the entire webtv service. Maybe we won't have to deal with their problems much longer. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

We test using the WebTV (MSN TV) viewer locally, and have had no problems posting...

A second WebTV has come forward with the same issue. Posting NEW a topic is no problem. REPLYING to a topic is the problem.

Can someone with WEBTV test my board?

Much appreciated

I also have a Web TV user who claims that ever since I upgraded the board to 6.5.0 he has not been able to reply or post a new topic.

Here is a quote from his email to me~

I don't understand it. Before u shut it down and made the upgrade, I had no probem posting and replying. Is there something different about way it is set up in the guts of the program?

I updated my profile and still nadda. Everything i click loads except "reply", "new post" and the face icons and the boxes next to faces. All the other options DO load.
The Bass Barn

I suggested the individual with the problem come here for assistance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Here is additional info on this WebTv problem.

One of the problem users noticed that when the problem would occur with posting REPLIES (not NEW topics), the Date/Time under "last Post" column on the Board Home Page WOULD NOT appear. If the date/time does appear, the problem goes away.

Two WebTV users have complained. No one else. There is a bug somewhere.

Just a stab in the dark; ask the users reporting problems to update their time settings in their profile.

It also could be a general problem with Javascript - is there anything in your header or footer that uses Javascript, such as an ad system?

BTW, the other thing I did when I upgraded was to set my "Last Post" column to include the last poster's name. I change it back to the default setting. So far, no more complaints, Even so, something "appears" to be awry with 6.5 and WebTV.
