I installed version 7 for testing purposes prior to importing from 6.5.5 and discovered that any post I make is in bold print.
Is this a bug or something I can do to correct this?

Actually, a lot of other things are showing up in bold print, therefore it isn't limited only to posts.
Could it be a style problem?

I learned that I can adjust the other text via the styles, however, I haven't yet discovered how I can correct the bold post print problem when bold wasn't selected.
It seems it is printing all bold posts by default.

I am assuming you do not have a <b> at the end of your header?

Try looking at the source code, and it may show up a stray <b>

I am assuming you do not have a <b> at the end of your header? Assuming you are referring to the forum heading, do you mean a <b> or a </b>???

It is obviously some kind of a style or template problem somewhere as even the message I receive confirming my post is in bold.

Thanks - I can't see any bold posts as a guest - I am wondering if you are using a different stylesheet to the default? Also it may be generated from one of the portal boxes on the left as these could affect the body. These portal boxes are not showing up for guests.

Ok, you have a bold tag that never gets closed.
<b><center>
<table BORDER=10 CELLPADDING=10 COLS=1 WIDTH="95%" BGCOLOR="#CECEFF" >
<tr>
<td><b>
<center>
<img src="/ubb/icons/icon50.gif">
<font size=4 color=blue>
Maritime, Canadian, And Other Seventh-day Adventists OnLine
<img src="/ubb/usa_flag.gif">
<br>Family Fellowship Forums & Chat Rooms</font> </center>
<br>Serving both members and friends of the Maritime
Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church,
the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada, and
anybody else in the rest of the world who wishes to join us!
</b>
</td>
</tr>
</table></center>
So in that block there are 2 bold tags being opened, but only one is being closed. More than likely, that is the problem.

Thank you.
I will fix that and see what happens.
The strange thing about this is that it shows up OK on the Firefox Browser, but not OK on the IE6 Browser.
Anyway, after I fix that, I will see if it also shows up OK now on my IE6 Browser, which I think I had better upgrade to IE7.

I corrected that, however, it still didn't solve the problem using my Internet Explorer Version 6 Browser, therefore, it must be some type of a problem that affects the IE6 Browser as it shows up OK on the Firefox Browser.
Funny thing though is that it shows up OK here in this forum on the IE6 Browser.

I think I will completely remove the header and see what happens.

The problem is in the header code somewhere as it is OK after completely removing the header stuff, therefore, I will place it back there again and go from there one step at a time.

Guess what folks!!!!! Placing a </b> at the very end of the header solved the problem on IE6. Why, I don't know, but it worked!
