UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 7 Version 7 Support Private Message to New Users

My forum has a private message which is sent to every new user. This is something that I set up when using UBB.classic, and now that I am using UBB.threads I need to change the message, but I can't figure out where to do this. Can anyone guide me to the right place?

This is stored in the adduser language file. If you have your language files writeable, you can edit this in the control panel.

This welcome message was originally being sent as a PM from User #2. I have merged User #2 into User #3. Now, when someone new registers, they get the blinking icon indicating that they have a PM, but when they click on it nothing shows up.

I found the language file that has the test, but I don't see where I can change the user from whom the PM is generated.

Control Panel -> Primary Settings -> Advanced Options -> Main Administrator User Id?

By default this is 2. You'll want to change that to 3.
