I totally borked my boards tonite screwing with the permissions. I tried setting them to the same as the install docs for 7.x but thats not working. Im still using 6.5b2 and Id rather not reinstall. Can anyone give me the list of correct file permissions? http://emeraldforestseattle.com Thanks

In UBB7 files are 666 and folders are 777, this is to use the internal editors and the such. I'd immagine this is how they'd be in 6.5 as well.
Standard chmodding to have files work (to where scripts won't be able to write to files/folders are 644 on files, 755 on folders.

Thanks- Ive been working with Infopops software for almost 7 years- along with the modifications from ThreadsDev. I plan on upgrading to .T7 next month. The .T7 permissions didn't work unless I had implemented them incorrectly. Now that you've jarred my memory it seems to me that 644 on files, 755 on folders was what it used to be with some exceptions in regards to the attachments and stylesheets directories being 777' I'll play with it today as I get time By the way who would I contact here to have my Username changed- I believe I did register it once as its in the userlist but there is no email associated with it so i created this one-how strange. The user name is ChAoS Thanks for all the fish
