I did a search and found a thread I wanted to post a link to.

While viewing the thread after the search, I can only seem to find a long link to it, such as this:

https://www.ubbcentral.com/forums/u...pam&topic=0&Search=true#Post2204

The only way I could find a shorter link, was to actually navigate to that specific topic within the forum, and then click the post icon to find the shorter link, which is:
https://www.ubbcentral.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/2204/page/6#Post2204

Is there a way to copy/identify a short link after doing a search?

The link should be on the post icon on every post (just before where the topic for the post is held)

Yep, but it's not.

Do a search. Find a topic.

Then, click the post icon and you'll see that you get a very long URL using the search results, instead of a short link.

Well, paint me purple and call me sherley; you're right lol... Went to the search, searched Symantec which properly returned another discussion we where having last night, then checked the post icon and it's the standard url vs shorturl...

I find switching from threaded and then back to flat mode (or vice versa) gets rid of the long search-flavoured URL.
