There are 2 different areas you can use CAPTCHA. One is the registration area for new users, the other one is for guest posting.

I dont have Quick reply enabled,
so i have to hit Full Reply to answer,
and there are no letters only the option to fill them in.
Ive got gizmo on msns wrecking the joint.

Hmm, it works on the full page reply here, and on my test site. Does the image come up on the registration page?

Rick, he has IM's paths set to what *should* work; the setup for the forum does indicate he's trying to use imagemagick; the page shows for the post page on a topic however no image ever loads.
Checked both IE and FFox2 to see if it could have been a browser issue.

Ok, any javascript errors? The actual creation of the image is triggered via javascript, which allows for the new one to be requested as well.

Ok, it looks like the image.js file hasn't been uploaded into the ubb_js/ directory. Will need to make sure that is specified in the upgrade process for those that only upload the changed files.

Thanks again, it was actualy fun, once we got started lol Rick if you reffer to my 7.0.2 -> 7.1.4b (7.1 Bugs forum) post there may be some clues in there for what's maybe missing on the list of uploads. I didnt mention that the CAPTCHA folder wasnt listed but i guesed as its a new feature it has to go up there. Thanks again
