Is there a way to remove all signatures from members profiles?

The reason is that they have images at the moment,
and its becoming a joke, trying to keep them to a decent
size, they think the size of there signature is the
size of there ego.

As there are no controls at the moment to constrict this,
my only option is to make everyone image free in there signatures.

But this will only kick in currently if they modify there
profile. And it will be why's he got one and i havnt lol...

So is there a script i can run to remove members signature
content ?

If you just want to blank out everyone's signature, then you can run the following SQL command. Note, if you have a lot of users, you probably should just close the board before you run this because it might take a bit.

update ubbt_USER_PROFILE set USER_SIGNATURE='',USER_DEFAULT_SIGNATURE=''

That will set everyone's signature to blank, including yours

why not play nice and update only those with images in their signature...

update ubbt_USER_PROFILE set USER_SIGNATURE='',USER_DEFAULT_SIGNATURE='' WHERE USER_SIGNATURE LIKE '%img%'

Better to remove just the image ones - you do not want a revolt on your hands.

I would also warn people in advance via a global message - members can be a funny bunch LOL

Well the SQL work a rounds are nice but long term it would be nice to add some functionality to UBBT to manage it better.

Thanks everyone for the input on this. I recently had to ask someone to remove their image sig as well. We allow it and most people are cool about it but this guy went overboard.
