you can always open via the command line - just edit the includes/config.inc.php file.

Just set the BOARD_IS_CLOSED to 0

Didnt know that,
nice one, i think i'm going to have to await for rick,
as there are all the new settings i need to configure
in the control pannel. (v7.1.5b).

As it looks naff,
but as time tickes by i may be forced just to do as you say ian,
hummm its a weird one.

Okay ive re-opened them with the method from IAN

Cheers (Riot prevented).

Seems like everything on the forum side is fine,
just looks crap as its a clash of the old and new styles.
The buttons are doubled up, but i have my new style sheet
read to sort this. But i cant get into the control pannel.

White screen frown

Locking a Topic has a simular error

White screen
/languages/english/admin/generic.php on line 175

I'm going to try and upload the generic.php file again
and see if that resolves any problems.

Didn't you forget to upload the libs/triggers.inc.php file on your test site? laugh

I'm not getting an error line rick that's why i'm stuck.
Just a white page.

Your probably right about the trigger file,
will wait for a reply before i do anything,
as in upload any files.

At this point my mood has changed to
" happy "as Rick's on the case

That's the error I'm getting when I go to visit your control panel. It's a direct PHP error, not sure why it's not showing up in your browser, but that was just a copy and paste from what I see when I go to your CP. You'll want to upload that file wink

This is why, if something is broken, you upload all of the files again to make sure you got them all wink

I ran the upgrade.php again and it said
that it was all up to date.

No file list is viewable at that point.

Anyway, i cant do a ALL File Search now, With the Language Editor, this was fixed when Rick went in on 7.02
and corrected a corrupt file.

Trust me i dont want thses issues either.

When you search all, it looks at all the files
in the directory.

So its either seeing duplicates (Content)
or it was corrupt.

When that file was deleted, it worked fine afterwards.

Rick could say more, i'm only the Gofa lol

Mark got it. When you search all files, it tries to load each file and then search them, if you have a file with syntax errors in the directory you'll get the problem.

Mark just has it so errors are only logged to the error log and not displayed to the browser which is why he was getting the white screen.

Didnt know there was an option?
Where is that?
as i think i could have resolved some of the recent
issues by seeing an error displayed smile

It's a setting in the php.ini file. I believe it's "display_errors" that can be set to "On"
