Where can I view/edit the birthday greeting that is sent out automatically on a member's birthday? I have looked all over for it.

All text strings are contained in the Language Files; if your language files are chmodded 666 you can use the editor in the control panel. There is also a search tool in there which allows you to locate specific strings.

The birthday information for example is contained in the "cfrm.php" file:
BIRTHDAY_SUBJECT
BIRTHDAY_BODY
