Hi,

I am running Firefox 2.0.0.6

I am finding www.ubbcentral.com, www.ubbdev.com and my own site at www.fansfocus.com all very slow.

It seems to take ages for the stylesheet to load and for the cursor to get to the correct place. So much so that often I click the main post box and by the time the browser has caught up the cursor is back in the subject box, and I end up typing in there.

I am not finding any real issues with other sites, that seem to run fine. But each threads site is very slow.

Is it just me or is there an issue?

Probably just me!!

BTW - my generation times are not too bad

Generated in 0.029 seconds in which 0.003 seconds were spent on a total of 13 queries. Zlib compression enabled.

it is just the amount of time it seems to take to load up the stylesheets.

BTW - just times this thread - and it took over 30 seconds - the previous threads was 80 seconds.

As I say it could be my IPS (I am on an 8GB ADSL line) - but other sites seem okay.

Must be your system - I'm normally in FLAT view so I put it into Threaded View to check and reply and all the pages load in sub 1 second for me.

I agree - the new version is fine, except for threads for me.

IE is nice and fast though for the same forums.

I watch the blank pixels slowly appearing on each corner of every box for example.

All very strange.

But if I am the only one, then it must be my copy of firefox.

I have upgraded and haven't seen any problems even on your site, dunno. Ever think of tuning ff speed? 3/4 down it will give you settings

Of all of those settings the paint delay one is most likely to make a very noticeable difference. It changes the way pages load. I kind of like it. Others may not. It's easily removed if you don't.

There is corrilation between UBBCentral and UBBDev being slow at the same time... They're on the same server (IIRC)

I can't remember if that is true anymore. Someday I have to remember to check.

Well they may not all be on the "same" server but they all appear to be connected to some point that when it's down they're all down wink
