I have an emergency with my boards. They are down with this error: SQL Error: Table 't1' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?
Thanks,
Wayne

This is the error message:
Script: /var/www/bitog/forums/scripts/cfrm.inc.php Line#: 346 SQL Error: Table 't1' is marked as crashed and should be repaired SQL Error #: 1194 Query: select COUNT(t1.POST_ID) as posts, sum(t1.POST_IS_TOPIC) as topics from ubbt_POSTS as t1, ubbt_TOPICS as t2 where t2.FORUM_ID = '1' and t1.TOPIC_ID = t2.TOPIC_ID and t1.POST_IS_APPROVED = '1' and t1.POST_POSTED_TIME > '1194669713'

All,
Was able to fix with:
server:/var/lib/mysql/bitog# myisamchk -r ubbt_POSTS.MYI - recovering (with sort) MyISAM-table 'ubbt_POSTS.MYI' Data records: 1026271 - Fixing index 1 Key 1 - Found wrong stored record at 1102838896
Anybody have any idea why this corruption happened?

It's a fact of reality that tables sometimes get currupted, the only way to fix them is as you did with a repair on the table (which shouldn't take long at all).

Yeah, sometimes the server will 'hiccup' and corrupt your data, could be a lot of reasons - one more reason for a good backup system.

Seems that it's the RAID controller that is causing the corruption. It's been replaced, but now the master drive in the RAID 1 stripe has corruption. This hurts.... boards down for hours...

Thanks - we were back up in about 8 hrs, but lost 36 hrs worth of posts. I'm very thankful that I did a backup when I did...
