I miss a feature to merge two threads to one thread. For V6.5 I use a hack to do this and this is well used on my boards

yeh, i'd like to see the ability to "split" threads, and "merge" threads... both very useful

being able to move a series of off-topic messages to another new message in a forum would certainly be very useful. at the moment, the only practical way of dealing with off-topic messages is to delete them, which if not a good option if in fact the messages have value in themselves. people being people, messages will always tend to drift off-topic.

There is an option there already to split a thread. If a topic goes off on a tangent, if you edit the post where it branches off there is an option to move that post and any replies to that post to it's own new topic.
