Lots has changed with this version. I am really liking it. Lots to test and to break.

2.) What are the Forum Specific Permissions defaults? Not sure on upgraded, but my fresh install of .3b2 had the default permissions set to blank. In other words, there wasn't a default and once I viewed them, I needed to set them.

On a new install there is a Default Forum Template that has some default permissions. You can edit that and any new forums created will follow those permissions.
For the most part it will try and keep permissions as close as possible on upgrades. It sets all of the view/read/reply, edit and delete time limits, file attachment limits, etc.

If folks haven't discovered it yet, one of my favourite features is the ability to have My Stuff in its own section rather than a drop down. I for one will be making this the default for all users, as I think it makes life a lot easier

I like it very much, and leaves alot of scope for other things too. I now have it activated.

The 30 day posters also needs re-writing - I had a go last week, but could not quite get it to work with 7.3

The Who's Online Island has been rewritten to include color codes, search bots, etc. Listing bot names in Who's Online is optional, right? I'd rather just have it say something like Gizmo, Ian, Mark S, 23 anonymous users, 7 bots online rather than Google , MSN (5), Twiceler , Voyager , Yahoo (94) , etc (and what's with those spaces between comas?)
GangsterBB.NET (Ver. 7.6.1.1) PHP Version 5.6.40 / MySQL 5.7.23-23 (was 5.6.41-84.1) / Apache 2.4.54 2007 Content Rulez Contest - Hon Mention UBB.classic 6.7.2 - RIP

This new 7.3 beta is a breath of fresh air. I just seen the new e-mail format its neat And the new e-mail options "Edit Watch List" Looks neat too. Liking the tweaks. If anything getting to that edit your watched list e-mail options is still to hidden away. If you use the "My Stuff" Right bar that would be a great place to say add "Edit E-mail options" and then list them Edit e-mails Watched Members Watched Topics Watched Forums That IMO would be so much easier for new members to get there head around and then use that option rarther than not even knowing it exists. Members like 1 click options

I've been complaining about the spaces for several alpha/beta builds now; Rick's trying to fix it though now ... As for the bots, some will want names, some will just want to know how many bots in general (not sure what fold I'm in here) but I'm not entirely sure how the island is setup off hand and I'm not at my laptop to dib through code at the moment.

Members like 1 click options IMHO, we have too many options to provide one click options for everything

As for the bots, some will want names, some will just want to know how many bots in general (not sure what fold I'm in here) If you need to see the actual bot names, they'd be 1 click away. I see no need to clutter the island with them - site visitors don't care about them, and neither do I. But as alway, the option should be there.

yes, but the current implementation tallies how many bots so you don't have to by hand

I just seen the new e-mail format its neat Seconded! I'm wondering if you could use the same code that generates the emails as a forums/threads archiver? Archiving to plain html is something that I've craved for a long time!

I really like most of the changes from what I can see. Nice job.
The one I really don't like is having those bot names and things in the Who's Online. Please let us be able to turn that off!
Thank you!

Yes - like most things, editing the template will remove or add items particular to a site.
island_whos_online.tpl in this case.

My current 7.2.X install is nicely integrated with PhP PhotoPost and PhP Classifieds. Just wondering if anyone of you Bete testers has tried 7.3 with these products and whether there might be any problems? I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask.
