That would be part of a stylesheet.

So what does that mean? (Can I do it? Is it part of the package, something that is "on" or "off"?)
See, things like this would be so much clearer if we had some kind of demo site that shows us what is on offer.
Thanks.

On your site Ian, when you put your moust over a topic the first part also appears. Is that "part of 7.3" as well?

What I mean is the changes in colours is a modification to a stylesheet that I have made.
The default stylesheet is as displayed on this site.

So how do I do it? Is it easy? Can you post what to do?
Sorry for all the questions, but it just is not clear.
Cheers

It would sure make sense though for somewhere to show us "all the features". Thats what this site is for, though a lot of us don't like the hover option... And yes, it's in 7.3

With respect, this site isn't showing us "all the features". Again, I don't intend this to come across the wrong way, I am all excited about the new stuff. But this forum really doesn't show the forums in their best light and with lots of things "turned off", how are we supposed to know what is going on?

I do agree with your points.
Perhaps it would make sense to have a separate forum as a demo, with all options turned on.

I think willing is describing the changing cells when hovering over them. All though I might be wrong.
I do not know why people do not like the hovering pop-up box???? Although I would like to see this as an option for users to turn off - along with most other settings.

yes, it's the item where if you hover your mouse over a cell it pops up the information about the post... It had many bugs during the beta period and the feature itself can be annoying to those who don't like it ... As for Ian's, I'm not sure what feature that is, so I'll walk off while whistling to myself...

I presume it is now bug-free?

I've installed a test to try and find out myself. I got the hovering box working, but not sure where I can set it so that the color of the cell changes when a mouse goes over it. Is that in the CSS styles? (Which part?)
thank you

I don't think that the css hovers are in any stock styles... If you're talking about what I think you are, like on my styles, these are coded in each stylesheet of mine.

I'm sure that when i ran the "Upgrade" Script it created these in my style sheets, and from there you can edit them to suit, ive got a little topic running in the styles forum Qwerks about the upgrade and style sheet, but it does do a hell of a lot too.

Mark, now I'm just confused with what exact feature everyone is talking about...
Willing; go look at one of my stylesheets at ubbdev; I'm not sure which ones i posted there have it, but it's simply adding the code with the colors to the extra area...

Yes, we're close There were a few bugs that people have spotted since we've upgraded here, so I need to get those fixed up and then we'll be ready. Just a couple more days. Hopefully this week, early next at the very latest. Trust me, I'm just as anxious to get this done and out the door as you are to download it

From what I can see, we will still not be able to turn off member ratings (each member). Is that correct?

Is there a simple way to see exactly what has been fixed/changed in these newer versions? The page via the "Features" link in the top left of the forum doesn't even list the PayPal subscriptions feature, so I know that's not where to look.
I'm usually pretty good about reading and searching before I post a question, I'm sure there's a simple changelog/bugfixes somewhere but I've never seen them. A new version just comes out and I install it, never really sure what has been fixed or what is new.

Because the latest version is 7.2.2 any official documentation will relate to that version. Once 7.3 is gold then these pages will be updated

Knowing Rick and his team here they will have a detailed list of fixes/release notes. That has been their running record in the past and seeing how intense they are with keeping up with all of us I don't see that changing anytime real soon. I can't wait to see this finally an official release, been playing with it on my test site and I am excited to get it opened on my production server as soon as it hits the streets...... Dunny

Yep, once we release 7.3 final, then there will be an official release notes posts and the main page features will be updated. Should be within the next couple days. Just putting the finishing touches on everything now.

How long before the full release?
Reason is, I upgraded to Beta 5 and when I changed the look of my site I accidentally deleted the updated style sheet so now I have boxes around images.
How can I fix this or will I just wait for the full release and fix it in that upgrade?
