For group PMs involving an admin or mod level person, it would be good to have the ability to edit other's posts, just as in a regular Thread.

Perhaps an Admin, but probably a bit scary for most boards to allow a Moderator that kind of rights.

well, a pt is really just a place to send private messages; why would messages need to be edited?

When you have multiple recipients on long PM exchanges, they almost turn into regular threads. As admin, I think you should have total control of the content in there.

The person who starts a PM should have the rights not just to invite but also to kick out whatever user(s) they want.

This I could agree with... but with editing others PMs???? No way! (Tho technically an Admin could by logging in as the person, but I'd find that an abuse of power). Editing a person's public post is sometimes warranted to edit out personal attacks or language not caught by the censor, but I do NOT believe that posts should be edited for too many other reasons. If someone typed something, they probably meant it. wink IMHO.

Edit it in the data base using PHPMyAdmin if you have to.
