I am having a little problem connecting to my db. I get this err_

Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111) in /home/power/public_html/forum/mysql.inc.php on line 27

I have tried to figure this out myself...but I'm sort of a newb to mysql. help?

Normally whenever I've seen this error the mysql server needs to be restarted. If this is your server then you can use mysqladmin shutdown and then run safe_mysqld to get it started again. If you are on a hosted server you will need to notify your host about this.
