Threads is fantastic, I really like it.
Well done.

But one thing that is really lacking is documentation. Unless I'm missing something there really isn't much explaining, in simple terms, all the functionality and how to do lots of things - it's a real shame I think.

The help that people give on here is wonderful, but an easy to understand explanation of all the things would be so so useful, I'm sure to a lot of people.

Again other than that I think it is really great and highly recommended - thank you.

I would Agree.
It must be so daunting getting this software out of the box.

I think an online help system for the admin section would be useful - however not sure I would want development of that to slow down the advancement of threads.

Most items are self explanatory if you slowly go through one page at a time.

A fair few, surely the amount of questions people have demostrate that? (Again, I want to say how great threads is, I am not bashing!)

Didn't say you were bashing - but as with many questions on forums, most can be solved with using the search button here, and with a little self-detective work.

(again not having a dig at you - but generally many questions asked on support forums, have already been asked previously)

I just find it amazing that the product is almost documenation-less.

The forums are great and so is the help, but there are still tons of questions people have. Many of the things should surely be covered in some documentation that comes with the product. It's like - here's the product, no explanation, now go spend ages trying to work out how to use it!

(Anyway, that's enough on that!)

Make sub forums for the versions and then you can cover the new
features etc.

I think its a mistake to have Gizmo's FAQ's Locked or we cant reply?

My Thoughts wink

I think it's good to have those FAQ's locked smile No offense intended, but a lot of times when I am searching for stuff I get lost in all the chit chat that goes on.

cheers

I consider myself to be a pretty advanced ubb.threads user. But I too once in a while just has to wade through the entire control panel to search for that one option.

Decent documention is imho not optional, but a requirement.

They're locked for a reason, if you want something added or expanded on, PT me.

I definitely want to have decent documentation that gets updated with each version, but don't want it to be a time-consuming project.

I was thinking of some sort of wiki where we can assign a few members the edit permission so more people can contribute if they choose to do so.

Not exactly sure the best route on this yet, but looking into it.

Maybe at least for here.

Then maybe the documentation aspect of the software could be completed with the assistance of the collective users (us)
