Hi,

When logged in for the first time threads are marked as unread. If I log out and log back in the threads are no longer indicated as being unread. Is this always the case? Is there a setting to change this?

Thanks

After your first real visit it will start tracking your last visit in the ubbt_LAST table so it will start tracking normally between logouts/logins.

A user is telling me that when they clicked on a thread with new posts the page would move to the first unread post? Is this true? If so they are telling me it doesn't do it anymore. Is there a setting for this?

They are also telling me that new posts that they have not read before logging out will not be marked as unread when they log back in the next time. Is there a setting for this?

Much thanks. smile

If you do a little test to understand the way it works.

The Left side will take you to the first unread post.
This can take you deeper in to the topic than you wish.
If all are read and no new replies you will see Post 1.

Now the Right Side.
It will take you to the very last post in that thread.

You following ??

There isnt a setting for it, it depends upon what's actually
happening, a new reply or not.

No, I'm not following. Is there a link on the 'left side'? A link on the 'right side'?

Oh I see now. Clicking on the topic name or date. Gotcha.

Is there supposed to be a bolded icon next to any unread posts (new posts)?
