What is up with BBC programming. I starting watching this show Spooks CODE 9 which is sort of like Fox's show 24 except the BBC doesn't appear to have the same amount of budget. They go and kill off one of the best looking girls on the show in the very first episode. What's up with that???? She wasn't a super hottie, but not too bad either. Then I go to view it online and BBC won't air it to me here in the US, or so they thought. Not THE best show but hey, something to watch late at night I suppose. http://www.bbc.co.uk/spookscode9/

I like Primevil, Torchwood, Dr Who, and the Sarah Jane Cronicles ... That's about the extent of my BBC kick lol

Haven't seen Primevil, what's that about?
Otherwise the only two beeb shows I watch are Torchwood & the Doc.
I reckon this new doc (David Tennant) is the best ever and Russel T Davies' scripts are outstanding!

Tennant does to a great job... With Sarah Jane, it's amusing, but more geared towards a younger market... As for Primeval, think "time travel meets Jurassic park" lol... clicky

Yeah, Sarah Jane is not my cup of tea.
The others maybe, will have to view an episode to check them out.

I watch some, but I haven't seen Spooks... Moreover, BBC won't let us access the sites for shows in America... so Ic an't even see when the new season of Torchwood starts as I get an error and don't know an european proxy offhand...

Filming for the third series of the smash hit drama Torchwood, created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies, has begun in Cardiff.
Due to transmit in 2009 on BBC One, the series - called Torchwood: Children Of Earth - sees the team embarking on a single action-packed adventure as they battle for the future of the human race against the most fierce force they have encountered.
The highly motivated Torchwood team are John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness, Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper, and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto Jones. Other regular cast involved in their high-octane adventure are Kai Owen as Rhys Williams, Gwen's husband, and Tom Price as PC Andy. Russell T Davies said:
"The new series of Torchwood is hugely bold and promises to be bigger and better than ever - the audience is in for an amazing ride. This series is one big serial and the most ambitious story we've ever made, and we've got plenty of surprises in store." Not much more than this at the moment.

Lol better than what I've been able to find! Heres what I get at their site: Access to this site is restricted.
If you are outside the UK you will not be able to use bbc.co.uk/torchwood for rights reasons.

I wonder what these 'rights reasons' are all about? We often see on books 'Not for sale in the USA" perhaps the lawyers can't decide on the proper 'cut'?

ok, that wasn't too tricky. There are main two sites (presumably many more). Spooks http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/spooks/Spooks Code 9 http://www.bbc.co.uk/spookscode9/It looks like Spooks Code 9 is the spin off designed for a younger demographic. I've not watched either, so I'm assuming that Spooks is a full-on MI6 spy drama, where Code9 is a 'lighter' program to introduce younger adults or late teens into the espionage game. Just a thought. The Spooks website has a heck of a lot of info on it, Code 9 appears to be a 'younger' version - both extremely professional though. Here's another thought. I have a 'hobby' server that's on 24/7 (just for me to play with and learn). Could I help you guys with this 'euro proxy' business? You'd have to tell me what to do though

even see when the new season of Torchwood starts as I get an error and don't know an european proxy offhand... Spring 2009 Torchwood is set to return in 2009 with another change of channel, this time to the flagship BBC1, and a change of format to a single story delivered in five parts over consecutive nights. Production is to start in August, 2008.
Davies has not written for Torchwood since its opening episode but shall be writing the first and final episodes of its 3rd series.

As mentioned above simply use a UK IP. When I am abroad I VPN into a UK router and then download Downloaded quite a few via www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and watched them on the flight home

Thanks As mentions Spooks is the main version (new series just started), spooks code 9 is shown on BBC 3 and is a poor cousin.

Seems they've pretty much dropped the SPOOKS CODE 9 version of it.
