Can you set the calendar permissions so only admin or mods can make entrys? I would like to use a public calendar for events that only pertain the site.

I like the way the private calendar displays a list but I not finding any place to set any permissions on either for not allowing users to add entrys.

Private calendars are only viewed by the member that posted it so it is just as it says a private calendar.
Public calendars can be set for each group
Control Panel » Group Management
Select » Site Permissions to the right of the group
Then change the "Can create new calendar events" to 1
This also allows the user in that group to add a topic to the calender while posting.
Currently your site does not allow the user group to add public calendar events. If that is the group I am in.

I found it thanks but I found a new problem with the new forum.

Anytime I try and change permissions I get this error.

Script: /home/www/bracket-racing/ubbthreads/libs/user.inc.php
Line#: 576
SQL Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '; ' at line 3
SQL Error #: 1064
Query: delete from ubbt_CACHED_PERMISSIONS where USER_ID = '6';

I don't know if I copy a new user.inc.php file up to the server if it will fix this or mess things up more.

hmm...

Back to Rick!!
BTW when you get your site up and running you will need to be careful just uploading files. You will need to use the install/upgrade script.
