If Some user is login to the parent site and wants to go to the forum site is there a way to bypass the login screen so that the user who is already logged on to the parent site is logged in to the forum site.
The user information for the forums is taken from the main site database or can be periodically updated in the forum database.

And is the user directly logs in to the forum he is redirected to the main site login page and then redirected back to the forum after login.

What's the deal with making your topics calendar events?

There would have to be some sort of integration, which usually means a good amount of work to be done.

can you please explain this in more details like step wise approach that would be appreciated. I have a parent site which is cold fusion code and the UB threads forum software. I need to integrate the logins of both of these to single login.

My Requirements are,

a)if user is logged on main site, and goes to forum, they should not be asked to sign in.

b)if user has saved a url OR goes directly to forum without being logged in on main site, they should be redirected to main site login page.

c)Any user: password change/forgot password etc links should be disabled.

d)On creation /changes on main site of user account, user password etc, modify it in UBB database as well
OR
have UBB use main site database for credentials.

are all these possible with UBB forums.

It's definitely possible with some work. For the most part you'll need to do the same things suggested in this topic.

If you're comfortable with php it shouldn't be too hard, otherwise you could always contract someone to do the work for you.
