Can I merge a forum running phpbb 3 with my already live ubbt and if so, how?

I'm not sure if the importer for PHPBB2 would work or not; but baically you'd just run the importer and it'd import the old data to the current UBB database...

I'd love it if we could get a UBB.T to UBB.T importer so we could run "Test Imports" then import live data over; but the importers are on the back burner I think :/

I tried the importer for PHPBB2 but just get "Checking...
Unable to connect to the phpBB database server" even though all info is correct.

PHP3 is totally different then PHP2.

Anyway, in the end you would need to merge 2 ubb-boards, and to my knowledge that isn't exactly easy. Doable, but not a walk in the park.

(so do like me and pray for a UBB.T7 to UBB.T7 importer lol)

Actually I am praying for something else. I got an old archive that are basicly flat html files that I still have to convert some day. Bleh

I have an old copy of our forums from before I bought out the old owner; after I bought it out there where some "issues" with obtaining the files and I ended up starting from scratch...

So where I'd love to just import live to our current forum, one small hiccup would result in one huge mess... So I keep praying the importers get some love and I can merge ubb.t7 forums so I can run a couple of tests and get a "good" import then import that to the live db...
