If a member wants to update their email address a confirmation email is sent with a link to verify the request.

I'd like to disable this verfication process.

At the very least I'd like to fix the email so the link contained in it was clickable!

Though my preference would be to turn off this feature.

Not sure how to turn it off but the language file is incorrect that is why it is not clickable.
I just noticed it myself.
cp>> languages.language editor
Choose Specific Language File: mailer.php
Find VER_EMAIL_CONTENT key field.
For my version it is at the very bottom of the page
