What a day!

I created a group that has permission to edit any post in a forum. I've added users to the group and set the forum permissions to allow this group to edit any post.

The issue is, the user can click the edit post link in a post but when he goes to "change post" it gives back this error

what is the "Edit Post Time Limit" on posts for the forum?

'This is a setting in minutes and specifies how long a post can be edited after it was initially created.'

I went with the default for admins 16777000 and added that to the group.

Can it be an issue if a user is in two groups that have different settings?


IE users can read end edit for 3600

While the other group can read and edit for 16777000


Would this cause a conflict or does the higher permission level always stick?

Is the default behavior for editing, to all the edit window to open then deny the edit if the timer or permission is null? Or should it not show the edit clicky, or when click, deny the edit window?
