I saw a similar problem posted several months back, but it appears to be a bit different than this one.

Using Firefox 3.6.6 I don't have the following problem. It is appearing on IE 8.0.7600.16385 on my 7.5.3 UBB.threads system as well as happening here on this forum.

After a successful login to UBB.threads, the very next forum page will display a not logged in message. This just started happening and I don't remember changing anything.

My forums are at http://www.dennyp.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ but it is also happening on this board.

The other odd thing is that I have a second computer running IE 8.0.7600.16385 also and it is NOT having this issue.

It appears that the problem my be in an option in the IE running on the first computer ... but what option? I didn't change anything manually in IE.

(I have rebooted the first PC a couple of times with no effect.)

I just tried deleting cookies and temp files which had no effect on the problem.

This is one of the things we are trying to track down to see if we can get a fix in for 7.5.6. The problem is, nobody here can duplicate it to debug. Might try on your site and if it happens there, we might hit you up to see if we can get FTP info to debug.

Anything I can do to help will be provided. As of right now, none of my members have reported the same problem, but when they do I'd like to have a fix.

Keep in mind that I am having the same problem with this UBB.threads forum, too, if that will help in debugging.

OK ... here's the latest twist. My UBB.threads board is now working again from IE8. I did not even reboot. I did restart IE though. However, it is not working on this support UBB.threads board. I still have to access it through Firefox.

I need a tall drink ... :-)

Is everyone sitting down? After successfully getting into my UBB.threads board on IE and not getting into this board through another tab in the same IE 8.0 session, I closed IE 8.0 and all the tabs and started up IE 8.0 again.

Voilà! I am posting this from an IE 8.0 session. I'm sure everyone must think I am some crazy poster. It seems like others may have had a similar problem, but I almost think I am nuts now!
