Can i merge UBB in to joomla and share the user db between them? Is there a bridge or anything like this i can use?

There isn't at this time. I know of one person that is working on one right now for a customer and is going to donate it to the joomla community when finished. Also when version 8 is complete we'll have an API available that will make it very easy to create a bridge for that version if needed.

there's a jFusion integration that works.. i've tested it and it's over @ ubbdev (allen knows someone how knows someone kinda dealio.. thanks to them for sharing it)
matter of fact, i plan to keep it updated as needed for newer versions..

I'm running the Joomla JFusion UBB.threads plugin, and have just done some tweaks to it to work with JFusion 1.5.2.
I'll gladly send anyone who's maintaining it my changes.
