I just got about 40 emails, undelivered emails:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: Domain vaguntrader.com has exceeded the max emails per hour (25) allowed. Message discarded.

That message is alerting you that your forum software has sent more than 25 emails in an hour; basically your host is only allowing you to send out 25 emails in an hour; which is very little...
In a nutshell, this isn't a threads bug, but a limitation imposed by the email server.
Example:
Every email validation email = 1 email.
Every email for a birthday reminder = 1 email.
Every email for a subscribed thread update = 1 email.
Every email for a pm notification = 1 email.
Now note that any user could get any number of those and you have a lot of email messages sent per hour...

That's on us. We had a couple hosting accounts sign up strictly for the purpose of spam, so while locking those down it inadvertently locked everyone down. Should be back to normal now.

Where did you find that error message.
Email account?
Cpanel somewhere?
