The last build of UBB.Threads v6 and UBB.Classic are provided in the members area; they are end of life however and aren't "officially" supported via the support area, but are semi supported here on the forums (by users) and at ubbdev.

Yes, you're allowed one install per license; it can be classic or threads v6 or threads v7.

2 active installs would require 2 licenses...

I can't for the life of me fathom why someone would use classic and threads simultaneously. They are incompatible with each other. Since classic uses a flat file system in perl and ubb threads uses a mysql database and is based on php.
It would be a nightmare to later decide to merge the two one direction or the other.

IMHO, I suggest going with Threads v7 and that way you avoid taking up a ton of space. With UBB classic you end up using file space as you create forums, post, new users join, etc. Eventually you will kill your file space and have to upgrade but with MySQL it consolidates posts, forums, etc into tables that the files access which takes up less space. You can have a MySQL database with 5GB of data which would translate to probably about 10GB of file space so you would get the better end of the stick going with Threads v7.

Also Threads v7 is more secure as passwords are stored unencrypted on classic in a perl file that can easily be accessed if a hacker manages to hack your site.

Yes, but Coke Classic was more well-received than New Coke.
