I had the most bizarre thing happen to me today. I was tweaking my social networking code on my BellaOnline forum, rolling in the exact same code I'd done on the LisaShea forum without any issue. However, no matter what I did, the new code simply would not display!

I even ran the permissions check to make sure I wasn't missing any permission problem.

What I finally figured out was wrong was the templates/compile directory wasn't set to give modify access to the IUSR account.

The templates/compile account doesn't even show up on the permission check page.

I'd like to suggest this be added to future versions, to save others from getting stuck in this situation .

I believe that since this folder holds dynamic content that there was a reason it wasn't included...

OK that was too vague for me . The folder needs to have modify rights in order for template changes to work properly, yes?

Well yes, but the content in the folder is created on the fly and by the script.. The folder needs to be writable but the content itself will be purged and recreated by the script

Yes so the permissions in the folder need to be set to write / modify. Currently the folder's permissions aren't being checked by the permissions script.

can you please tell me how to share a picture here in the forum. Actually I am new here as I mentioned in my first post that's why I don't know so much about the features of the forum.
