Anyone remember the method for a user to remove a user from his ignore list?

I thought it was to add the ignored to your buddy list, but that didn't do the trick.

Visit that members profile.
Public profile not the control panel.
You should see do not ignore this member.

It will then allow private messages.
A member can stop all private message via there preferences if they wish. But thats all or nothing.

That's the thing. The "do not ignore" link is not visible.

I became the one user and clicked on the ignored's profile (both on the left of his post) and his main profile and don't see the link "do not ignore"

Could it be that the user he ignored was at one time a regular user, and now that user is a Moderator/Admin -- which are exempt from being ignored?

Also, This not an answer to why it happened, but a possible solution to fix the problem (or find out more about the problem by producing a "no access" or "database error"...etc message) you could go the direct route and send him a "Toggle Ignore" link with that ignored user's number:

I became the user and tried the direct toggle link. That did the trick. Thank you.
