Anyone running Centos 7 and UBB ?
Ive no idea of mysql versions, or php at the moment as i'm just testing the water.

My data center is offering a sweet deal for me to Migrate to a Newer Server with twice the grunt, at no extra cost.
I'm ticking along nicely with Centos 5x and resources are fine.
I can go to Centos 6 but i hate all the reconfiguring etc.

Centos 7
appeals to me, because i can get used to its quirks before they shout its no longer supported.
However with it being so new, am i opening a can of worms and troubles.

Centos 6
I've nothing against it, but think i could skip it if 7 is stable in the real world.
And eventually i would be faced with upgrading to 7 in time to come.

And if i go to 7 i could be future proofing Apache, mysql and php that can run on a more modern OS.
Your feedback would be apreciated.

I'm running 6.7, but I don't really see much reason for there to be a concern, PHP/MySQL is really what has caveats at times, hence why v7.6.0 will require PHP5 vs supporting PHP4 (which we should have done years ago). Personally I haven't run newer builds of CentOS, but I don't think you should have many problems with it.

You're not really future proofing much, unless it's running bleeding edge PHP/MySQL which could come up with some hiccups.

Cheers my friend.

That's similar to the feedback i've also had.

Thanks Giz
