Hi

Some of our members seems not to like each other.. heard that before..??

I have noticed that there is a ignore button when you look at someone's profile. However not everyone can see it

I can as
1, admin,
2, basic users can see it but not the
3, moderators

see attachments,

Question where do I change the settings for the ignore button?

I don't believe moderators get that option, because their job is to see everything. but I'll look in to it and see if some code needs to be corrected. it's a feature I haven't had the /pleasure/ of having to use yet B)

In my opinion it's working as expected; staff shouldn't be able to ignore users as they're in charge of moderating the forums, it's a little difficult for staff to see infractions when they're ignoring users who are causing infractions.

I got the exact same answer some ten years ago.
From Rick I recall.
Which I tend to agree.
However to Morgans point why do admins see and can use the ignore if that is true.

But I think it probably is a over site to allow admins.to do so.
I know it has been that way for at least most all the 7.x series. from memory

Administrators are treated like a user account with special privileges; if the admin is set to be a moderator of a specific forum then they too will no longer have the option to ignore people. I'm not sure why Rick coded it that way vs any elevated user, but it is what it is currently.

There you go Morgan.

Personally I feel as Gizmo stated that no elevated member should be able to ignore.
If it becomes a battle between two members who else can the user post to but the admin
Now that it has been mentioned possibly it will be cleaned up on the next release.

Exactly

We've got quite the laundry list of requests to work on, including MysQLi and PHP7 support, which will need extensively tested; in time everything will eventually be fixed.
