When I try to delete an image in the forum images I get this!
Unable to remove image. Please check permissions on the files in your forumimages directory and try again.

Sounds like the chmods (permissions) on the files or their folder are not configured to be able to be rewritten; that'd be a directory permission of 777 with the files 666.
The permission check in the control panel should show if they're writable.
