I downloaded ubbthreads-7-0-b3, unzipped and FTPed to my server.
I changed permissions per instructions and ran the install program.

When I run ubbthreads.php I recieve:

File not found: scripts/ubbthreadsphp.inc.php

I have searched the distribution and found that the file exists in the libs folder.

Ideas?

What is the URL you are trying to visit? That is an invalid script that is being called to trigger that error

http://www.pagannation.com/ubb/ubbthreads.php

The file it seems to be asking for DOES exist at:

http://www.pagannation.com/ubb/libs/ubbthreadsphp.inc.php

The file does NOT exist at

http://www.pagannation.com/ubb/scripts/ubbthreadsphp.inc.php

I have tried uploading the file to where the error message seems to imply it should be, but that does not change a thing.

There is no such file as ubbthreadsphp.inc.php. That file does not exist at all.

It almost looks like you have some sort of .htaccess file causing the ubbthreads.php to interpret /ubb/ubbthreads.php as the transaction and it is trying to load ubbthreadsphp.inc.php which does not exist. I have looked at the code in ubbthreads.php a number of times and I cannot find how that behavior would be caused by the scripts.

Out of curiosity, can you try to run this in /forums instead of /ubb and see if you are able to duplicate the issue? If you are able to duplicate the issue, there might be something in a lib I'm missing, a problem with your PHP config or a rogue .htaccess file on your server.

FYI, I don't have that file in my libs directory either. There is a ubbthreads.inc.php file, but not a ubbthreadsphp.inc.php.

You are right. Sorry, I misread the folder. However, I cut and pasted the message from the UBB install, so I know I managed to get one thing right.

I have the current version 6 running in /forums now and have removed version 7. I have another account at the same host and will try to install it there under /forums to see what happens when I purchase my second license (actually, convert my other licence from Ubb Classic). Yep, I am a fan and think V. 7 will rock when it is finished.

You could even use /threads7 on the same account. I was just using /forums as an example.

On a side note, If your other license is a classic license, it has been migrated automatically to Threads 7 license. The Classic and Threads licenses were unified for Version 7.
