edit stylesheet #27479

I am new to this. I tried to edit a stylesheet, and I'm stuck. Is there a list available somewhere to tell me what colours those hex numbers represent? Is this the only way to edit a stylesheet, or is there an easier way to do the job? Maybe a userfriendly graphics interface, so you can see what you're doing?

I appreciate any help! Thanks

There is a picture with the classes mapped out in our documentation. It's decent, certainly helpful, but not great. JustDave is working on a new class map that's much more detailed and up to date. That map will go into our documentation area too.

If you are looking to know what number a color would be....

This http://www.digits.com/chart.html

is an excellent resource. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

I really love the program 'Pixie'. It's a small executable that runs on your desktop, and it will tell you the hex values of the colors that your mouse hovers over. Pretty nifty. You can get it at Nattyware.

That's cool.

Ever hear of something like that for the Mac? Preferably OS X?

Hey, thanks everyone for your help. Now it makes a lot more sense. I'll be back with more questions - like a true newbie!

Thanks again
