I'm not quite sure how the Admin show/edit users works.

Specifically, I'm puzzled with the "Or choose a Group to search for" dropdown. If you select "Moderators" from the dropdown, for example, you'll get a list of all registered users.

Is this a bug, or am I just being dense on how to use this feature?

The actual options are a combination of things. If you want to use search by a group, moderators, then you need to change the Search for select box to "Group". You will then see that the select box for "With a value of" changes to give you a bit more information.

Thanks & apologies, I had never noticed the "Group" option. It would have helped if I had read the two-liner at the top of that screen, burn on me.
