I have a silly question but it has me puzzled? I have never seen this in any infopop board yet. I am the owner adminstrator of my site and I bought UBBthreads a month back. I just noticed that one of my users when I was checking who's online has him listed as Private? I am the admin nothing should be private to me. Why does UBBthreads list that this way?
It shouldn't say "Private" below "Viewing a post..." etc...
But if it just says Private by itself... that seems to be the catch all if the system doesn't know where the user is.
If you've got your cookies set to "site wide"....(set as / in config.)... and a user with a username cookie visits the site.... it will recognize them... yet they are not using any part of threads.
So perhaps they are on your homepage.... or a non-threads page in your site.
I've converted some of my others pages to .php pages with the Threads headers and footers etc... then defined their locations in the online.php language file. So my site now says "Viewing the Front Page" or whatever. Doesn't work for every page though.
I believe so - the user can choose whether or not they choose to show up in Who's Online - Private means that they don't show up but you still know that they are online for usercounts, etc.
Even if they've chosen to NOT show up in "who's online" or not show what post they are viewing, as an Admin user... you'll see it "all" anyway. If they have chosen to NOT show up in Who's Online, there will be a "(I)" in front of their username.
