Guys, I'd like to post up the Rules for the board but can't seem to find out where I link to them from.

What would the link be? I seem to have some members saying they cannot find the Rules and I can't say I blame them as I myself can't even find them....

The rules are in includes/boardrules.php, but you can't simply link to that, because that file is intended to be read by a script and then output.

Josh wrote a hack at threadsdev.com that adds a link for displaying the rules: Board Rules.

I'm using it with 6.3.1. I don't think I had to make any changes.

I just put my board rules in the FAQ. In 6.3 it's so easy to edit the FAQ that I can change the board rules the new users see at the same time that I change the FAQ.

yeah, that mod will work - it simply displays the rules on a generic threads page - so it'll probably be compatible forever. I'll go add 6.3 to the description. I'm using it on lots of sites with 6.3 as well. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

I used to place rules on a site side page and link to them via the menu bar, but now I just use the FAQ page and edit in rules I need there. That way it is all forum side handled.
