I remember seeing a "common queries" threads somewhere around here, but I can't find it now. So, how can I mass delete threads based on age using an sql query?

Actually you can do that using the admin panel and prune.

No, it can't be done with a query. Several database tables are affected, so it requires scripting.

I know this topic is pretty old, but I'm wondering if anyone has built anything to do this?

Our situation: we currently run classic, but are looking at moving to threads pretty soon. We have an OT forum (our site is a music/recording site), but it frequently gets clogged up with political and religious posts. We're considering creating a separate forum for that, but would like to purge it weekly (deleting posts where last-reply > 1 week ago).

In classic, we have to take the board down to do this.

Just wondering if the tables to be deleted from have been identified, and if this is a feasible solution.
