I am running UBBThreads 5.5.1 under Windows NT 4.0. All was working
well without an issue, until we turned on the age verification component.
Everything works fine for users under 13, it doesn't allow them in.

If I submit a date that makes a user over 13 on
newuser.php

then enter in new user information - name, address, login/password on
newuser.php

The response I get from the page adduser.php is
That is an invalid date.

This is not necessarily an error. If you feel this is an error then it could be
something as simple as your browser not being set to accept cookies.

We have tried this under multiple browsers. Cookies are being set properly,
as is show by other users that are already registered and are having
cookies written to their files. We have also tried to change the system
from cookies to sessions, but that has not helped either.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Ian

Hey - just wanted to let you know that I'm going to move this post over to the UBBThreads Assistance forum, as you might get better assistance over there.

It sounds like you downloaded 5.5.1 when it first was posted. It was up for a short time with a small bug in this area. If you download 5.5.1 again and just replace the newuser and adduser scripts it should work ok for you.

If you've entered it once with the "wrong" (too young) date... make sure you either delete your cookies from your site, or login as a user or log back out.

That seems to be the only way to get by it, once the browser's got the cookie to begin with.
