I was hoping that I could show/hide forums (or categories) depending on the status/type of user. For example Type 1 users would not even see the Type 2 or 3 forums. Type 2 users would not see the Type 1 or 3 forums.

Is this possible in UBBT?

You can do this using groups - it'll just be a matter of setting the right permissions for each forum.

You'd just need to make sure that a user exists in only one of the "type" groups. If a user is in more than one, he'll have all the rights of both.
