Now running Alpha 8

This is mainly an update for the new style editor in the control panel. I'll try and get some screenshots posted today. Due to the style changes quotes within old posts won't be styled, but new ones should be working ok.

Here's a few screenshots of the style editor in the control panel. You can change any of the properties and then immediately preview how they will look in the preview area.

Heya Rick (or anyone else who knows!)~

What's a good program for capturing screenshots?

FWIW--what you've done to Threads is looking sooooooo good! Isn't it the 15th yet?! wink

I use PrintKey here at the office and at home. http://www.warecentral.com/ Do a Google search and you can find some of the older versions of PrintKey that are freeware. Works very well.

If you are on a PC running Windows you can just use the PrntScrn button and then paste into MS paint.

Back on topic... the Style editor looks great! laugh

If you use Firefox (and who the heck isn't? ;)) there is an extention called Screen Grab that is very nice.

As it happens, I'm teaching myself to go back and forth between Firefox & I.E. ... I'll have to look for the Screen Grab.

Thanks for the advice, guys!

And to get back on topic ... I really appreciate the effort behind the Style Editor; it's going to make changing the various forum styles so much easier.

Working on a few problems with the style exporter/importer. Figured the best way to test this was to import a couple of styles into the live site. Nothing special, just a demonstration on how things everything can be changed. You'll find 2 new ones to choose from in your profile.

Working on some of the graphics now. We've disabled the other styles for the time being so there is only the 1 default style again while working on the images. Pretty much all the smileys and post icons have been changed and updated along with a couple new ones added.

Little bit different to what I think. I know these style is not finished, but I personally feel that the graphic in Groupee Community/Eve more professional.

Oh well, at least we can customise the graphic later.

With the new way that styles are built where you can specify graemlins/images/posticons, etc. that are used with each style, eventually we hope to have several sets available depending on user taste.

Cool. smile I hope you believe me when I say that the reason I chose to stay with Threads was partly because of the VERY nice Graemlins of both Classic and Threads. The new ones that you are working on are even better than what the competion has, from what I've seen.

I can't believe that I just revealed myself to be a graemlin snob. crazy
