UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.classic UBB.classic 6 Support Any tips to decreasing the CGI useage?

The host I have my board on currently supplies me with tons of bandwidth and lots of server space. Unfortunately, they are rather stingy with the basic CGI/VDE alotment.

Does anyone have suggestions as to what features might be disabled or adjusted to minimize the cgi useage? I already know that I will be buying more units from teh company, but I'd prefer to keep the purchases as low as possible.

• Search
• Recent Visitors
• Polls
• Maybe private messages (I'm not sure it would really make a difference)
• All hacks

Make sure that you are using the PHP accelerator. Reduce the number of messages per forum by moving (or just pruning) old posts to archives.

That's about all I can think of...

Thanks. I need to see if there is an ETA for PHP V4. RIght now they only have 3 on my server and that's not high enough to run the accelerator.
