I was trying to upgrade from 6.3 to the latest version and this made my board completely inoperable...

1. First, I am surprized that there is no simple automatic upgrade procedure. Click one button --> done!

2. Second, the Control Panel is now claiming that my password is wrong and I cannot do anything.
In addition, the board also complains like that:
An error has occurred:
Can't locate object method "cleanup" via package "UBB::FileHandler" at /home/sites/www.usbytes.com/web/cgi-bin/cp.cgi line 48.
END failed--cleanup aborted.

There were many places to make a mistake. Any idea on what should I do now?

3. I need to save my posts!

P.S. I knew I will have problems with the upgrade...

Judging from the second error, you failed to properly upload at least four different files, and possibly the updated contents of the Modules directory... I would advise going through the zip one more time and ensuring that the files on the server are indeed in sync with what you meant to upload. Sometimes FTP servers silently refuse to overwrite files - you may need to carefully delete the files on the server before uploading new copies.

(Hitting uncached pages on your board reveals the old version number, so you're definately missing files...)

From there, the upgrade procedure is indeed one button... log in, hit the button, then sit back and wait as it tries to do everything for you. Among the things that the upgrade button does includes making sure all of the expected file versions are present... of course, if you can't even log in to run the thing in the first place, that's rather useless. There has to be a way to fix that... %)

Thanks.

What exactly I should do?
I can copy the 'upgrade files' again, but I cannot access the cp.cgi.

Also, which 4 files do you think I failed to upload?

Thanks again,

Upload everything once again - those four are almost certainly not alone. (ubb_lib is absolutely missing, ubb_lib_files, ubb_lib_filehandler, and ubb_lib_filehandle are the likely candidates)
