I'm not sure whether I'm postng this in the right forum or not...I'm not sure which category it would go under.

At a board that I vsit just about everyday, there is an issue about user signatures, and the users posting extremely big pictures. Our Moderator/Webmaster has told us there is an 8 pictures limit on pictures in signatures, which there isn't, but I'm sure he's working on that. It may sound like a good solution to the problem, but the thing is, some people comtinue to post HUGE pictures that make it extremely annoying to scroll down the screen for a half an hour to see the next reply.

My question is: Is there a possible feature that our webmaster could work on that would limit the number of KB in a single picture, OR in the whole signature in order to prevent people from posting such large pictures?

Since the images are not hosted with the UBB, there's nothing that can be done to control which images are used.

However, the UBB does have the ability to disallow images from being used in ANY signature.

Edit (forgot to mention): the 8 image limit applies to the post itself (excluding the signature IIRC), not the signature itself.
