To use the previous version of UBB in a foreign language I had to add "charset=iso-8859-2" in the <HEAD> section in any file in which it appeared. Otherwise I couldn't get the character encoding to work properly.

How does the new version work? Can I simply specify iso-8859-2 encoding in the control panel and do it the easy way, or do I still have to dig in the code?

For the moment, just add a COMPLETE meta tag in the Language Meta Tag field in the style template.

In 6.03, you will need to redefine the character set again in the style template and in General Display Settings - no longer will you need to insert the meta tag, JUST the character set.

The meta tag will no longer appear in 6.03.

(The 6.02 method is a bit buggy for Mac users, thus the change)
