I administer a UBB Classic 6.2.1.1 board.
http://www.chairpage.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi

A few weeks ago I started received emails from users complaining about very slow operation and errors. One of which is below.
While writing to '/www/chairpage.com/docs/ubb/cache-KKJA5MT3/ubb_files/summary/summary.html':

Then yesterday many of the forum topics deleted themselves listing "blank 1920" in the date/time field.

I immediately tried to rebuild the forum stats file but got the following error.
An error has occured:
Tried to open zero-sized topic 003202 in forum 2. at /www/chairpage.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubb_lib_files.cgi line 757.

On trying to access the category in question I got something like the below error.
Could not find a forum_thread_data file for the following thread and forum: 0038, 20, 2

I then went to the Forum Settings (details) section, changed nothing then clicked Update Forum settings.

Now I get the following error on trying to enter the category.
Could not find any forum_thread_data files! Please tell the board administrator to Rebuild Forum Stat Files for forum: 2 (NOFTD)

Once again I try to do this and I get the below error again.
An error has occured:
Tried to open zero-sized topic 003202 in forum 2. at /www/chairpage.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubb_lib_files.cgi line 757.

So now I'm stuck in a loop and don't have a clue on what to do next.

If anyone can give me advice or assistence I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers,
schlong

FTP In to your /ubb/Forum2 and delete all files with a size of 0 bytes and run your rebuilds again.

Also, how are you doing on server space? Typically files get clobbered when you are close to running out of space.

Thank you Ron M. That worked perfectly.

I have suspected for some time that server storage space was running low due to other errors. I'll take this up with the hosting company to correct.

Thank you once again for your help. It is much appreciated.
